BIANCA & HAM ITAL PIZZA MINIS

We are giving you one, two, three ways to prepare your bianca & ham minis!

How many people does it serve?

This should be an easy question to answer, but in South Africa, it’s complicated, due to our colourful multi-cultural rainbow nation.

  1. In an Anglo Saxon household, each pizza/meal should feed between 4 to 6 guests.
  2. In a Mediterranean, Ethnic or African home it could feed as little as 1 to 3 people for a single meal as food needs to be experienced in large quantities.
  3. If you’re of Scandinavian extraction, each meal could last you a month!

Then we need to look at your emotional state, as that is a determining factor when dealing with quantities.

  1. Have you had a terrible day with your boss?
  2. Did you fight with your spouse?
  3. Are your kids driving you insane?
  4. Is your wi-fi slower than the Groot Trek?
  5. Is the lockdown getting to you?
  6. Did that hot guy from the gym eventually whatsapp you?
  7. How are you doing with those skinny jeans?
  8. Is your mother-in law doing what mother-in laws do?
  9. What season of Game of Thrones are you watching?

All these contributing factors could influence the amount you will choose to eat; Ranging from “just a slice/bite” to “call in the kitchen Calvary we’re going down babies”!

FOR THIS QUICK RECIPE YOU WILL NEED

SHOPPING LIST

  • 1 x packet Ital Pizza Minis, Bianca & Ham
  • 1 x pre-grated cheddar or block of cheddar
  • 1 x packet sesame seeds
  • Olive oil
  • Salt and pepper

QUANTITIES OF INGREDIENTS

  • 85 – 100 gr x grated cheddar cheese
  • Drizzle of olive oil
  • A sprinkle of sesame seeds
  • Salt and pepper to taste (optional)

METHOD

  1. Place 4 minis directly onto your oven rack. On two of the minis, sprinkle grated cheddar cheese. If you would like to add salt and pepper do it now on all 4 minis.
  2. Place in oven for 10 minutes. Don’t leave them longer as we don’t want the cheese in this recipe to over bake.
  3. Remove from oven and sandwich the minis together. One with cheese and one without. Press them gently so that the cheese on either pizza sticks together.
  4. In a heated pan, drizzle olive oil, making sure that the surface of the pan is coated.
  5. Lightly brush the toasties on either side with olive oil so that the sesame seeds can stick to the surface. Now, sprinkle with sesame seeds on both sides.
  6. Place each toastie into the heated pan and sear till golden brown. About a minute or 2 on each side. Keep your eye on them, they burn very easily.
  7. Once done, remove from the pan and cut in half and serve immediately with fries or with your favourite salad.

HOW TO PREPARE YOUR SOUP WEDGES

Prepare your Minis in exactly the same way as you prepared the toasties, but instead of cutting the toasties in half, cut them into quarters. You then dunk one or two of the wedges into your soup. Serve and Enjoy!

HOW TO PREPARE YOUR SALAD CROUTONS

Prepare one Mini pizza and bake in the oven directly from frozen. Don’t add any extra cheese. In the oven for 10 to 12 minutes. You might want to leave it in the oven for an additional 2 minutes, just to make it a tad crispier.

Once ready, place on cutting board and cut the pizza into 5 strips and then again the other way into 4 strips, cutting the pizza into little squares. Ensure you use a sharp knife so that you can cut straight through the base.

And there you have your salad croutons. Little cubes of crunchiness sprinkled onto your greens!

One, two, three ways of preparing your Minis so that in less than 10 minutes, you can be munching away!
